  1. Sauté the duck breasts, skin side first, shed fat rendered by the meat
  2. Melt the chopped onion in a pan with little oil, add the vanilla, sugar, rum, mix everything together and flambé
  3. Sprinkle with flour, tomato paste, a small glass of water and salt
  4. Mix well and let boil the breasts up to the convenient cooking
